What to expect
Pizza Time is where our beach days end. It's about twenty minutes from Ojochal on good road, it's open from noon until nine every day but Monday, and you don't need to plan anything — there's always a table.
Wood-fired pizzas, wings, salads, cold drinks. We order across the whole menu and it holds up. The kids want cheese pizza and wings and have wanted exactly that since the first time we came.
The thing that actually matters with a family: we show up still damp from whatever we were doing, with two kids who are not going to stay seated, and it has never been a problem. That's rarer than it sounds and it's most of why we keep going back.
About $100 USD feeds six of us — the four of us plus both grandparents.
Closed Mondays. Worth checking before you drive over, since small restaurants here change hours in the low season.
Who this works for
The whole-crew test · toddlers to grandparentsFine. Plenty of room, nobody minds movement, and the food comes in a form toddlers accept. I've never needed a high chair here so I can't tell you whether they have one — worth asking if it matters to you.

Pizza, wings, cold drinks and a big covered space with room to sit as long as you like. We haven't eaten here with teenagers ourselves, so this one is a read rather than a report.
You can arrive salty and damp with kids who won't sit down, and eat well anyway. That's the whole review.
Easy. Big parking lot very close to the door, flat the whole way in, no steps I can think of — a wheelchair would manage it. Lots of seating so there's no standing around waiting for a table. It's a big covered outdoor space with fans, so it stays comfortable without being sealed indoors.

The family, over time
Same place · same family · re-reviewed as everyone grows — and agesStill the place we end beach days at, and still cheese pizza and wings for both kids. One change this year: the surfboard mural is gone — it looks like it was demolished. The food and the welcome haven't changed.
VERDICT: Still worth the 20 minutes. The mural is a loss.
Things we wish we'd known
- Closed Mondays.
- No reservations and no need for them. There's always seating.
- Big lot right by the door, flat all the way in.
- You can come straight from the beach. Damp kids are not a problem here.
- Bring something for the kids to do while the food comes. We keep Uno and colouring sheets with crayons in the car for exactly this.
- Cash and card both work.
